Welcome!
Some people (myself included) are
confused about what this website is about or should be about. Well, after
giving it some thought, I finally decided why my website looks, feels,
smells, and tastes the way it does. This was a website meant to be used in
the future. I wanted a place to hold my research papers (which I have not
written yet) and to share them with whomever it may concern. However, it has
become an experiment itself. While I decide what's relevant and what's not
relevant to be published, you will see many diverse and sometimes seemingly
irrelevant topics posted. However, in the mean time, this website is used as
my public diary where I will post anything from scientific articles to
pictures. Enjoy your visit and make sure you leave feedback.
Neuron misfiring!
February 10, 2005
I've been thinking lately (surprise, surprise), and I am simply amazed!
It is only by looking back at the last decade, that I
realize how significantly the world has changed since I first entered the
digital realm. Once experimental technology, is today ruling the world’s
information highway. During the last decade, we have literally seen the
internet grow in size and scope in front of our eyes. It is akin in grandeur
as the Library of Alexandria in the 3rd century BC. Today, we are
in the forefront of a revolution; a revolution of a new kind, one unrivaled
by none other; it is the revolution of the mind. It is a struggle between
power hungry consumers and idea happy innovators. It seems as though, the
human creative mind has gotten a dose of adrenaline, and I am proud to say,
I am one of them.
Technology has fallen victim to Darwinian evolution.
Products that do not work are forever forgotten in someone’s basement;
products that do work become the base of newer technologies yet to come.
However, every once in a while, with a stroke of genius, a completely new
idea takes form. It rivals all conventional thought and eventually becomes
cutting edge technology of tomorrow. Such innovations, it seems, only found
in science-fiction writing.
I am simply amazed! Aren’t you?
